Your Cat's Medical Care

We are happy to accept cats that are on routine medication provided their medical condition is stable. We are trained to administer tablets and injections as necessary according to the owner’s instructions

Disclosure of any medical condition or concern is really important. If we have not been given information about your cats health it may lead to unnecessary worry and veterinary costs if we think that a problem has arisen during the cat’s stay with us

Please note: we will not accept any cat that is acutely unwell on admission

Please ensure that you bring all medication with you and make sure there are adequate supplies for the duration of your cat’s stay

Make sure that you give us all details of the care required for your cat such as times to administer medication. Please also provide us with the name and contact details of your own veterinary surgeon should we need to consult them regarding your cat’s health and ongoing care.

Please ensure that you can show evidence of a full and up to date vaccination history for your cat.

We take the risk of flea and worm infestation very seriously and request that all cats are fully treated against flea and worm infestation prior to admission. We reserve the right to treat any cat found to have fleas or worms during their stay and the owner will be liable for the cost of any treatment required.

We regret we cannot accept admission of any entire male cat over the age of 9 months.

We have close links with a local veterinary practice and reserve the right to request a full clinical examination if we feel that your cat is unwell whilst in our care (please refer to full terms and conditions).

However, it is an advantage, particularly if your cat has an established medical condition, for us to contact your regular veterinary surgeon in the event of any problem, as they will hold details of any relevant past medical history.

All caring and conscientious cat owners will appreciate the value of full medical insurance cover for their cat. Please ensure that you give us details for use in the unlikely event of any problems whilst you are away.

Catseye Cattery holds fully comprehensive insurance to cover all the cats in our care. (details are available on request)

If you have any particular concerns and wish to contact us whilst you are away, please discuss this with us at time of booking
